Personal narratives
Robert Lindsay Mackay
Lieutenant Robert Lindsay Mackay wrote a diary of his experiences on the Western Front from 1915 to 1918. A transcript of the diary has been published by his family. The website states that Mackay served with this battalion throughout. Mackay's own introduction to his diaries states that the entries were written shortly after the events described but that in 1919 he made new copies of the diaries and destroyed the originals. He then made typescript copies for his family in 1972.
